Permissions

The Schedule of Values (SOV) module in our Product Management tool incorporates role-based permissions to ensure proper access control and maintain data integrity. The following permissions are applied based on user roles:

1. Owner & their team, Developer & their team:

  • Approve/Reject Master SOV: Users with the roles of Owner and Developer, along with their respective teams, have the authority to approve or reject the Master SOV.

  • View Subcontractor (SC) SOV if shared by General Contractor (GC): Users in these roles can view the SOV created by subcontractors if the General Contractor has shared the information.

2. General Contractor & their team:

  • Create/Edit Master SOV: General Contractors and their team members have the capability to create and edit the Master SOV, which encompasses the overall project.

  • Approve/Reject Subcontractor (SC) SOV: General Contractors and their team members are responsible for approving or rejecting the SOVs created by subcontractors.

  • View all SOVs of Subcontractors: General Contractors have access to view all SOVs created by subcontractors involved in the project.

3. Subcontractors:

  • Create/Edit SOV for respective Divisions: Subcontractors have the authority to create and edit the SOVs specifically for the divisions they are responsible for.

  • View only the SOV created by you: Subcontractors can view only the SOVs they have created, ensuring privacy and focus on their specific scope of work.

  • Restricted selection of Sub Division already chosen by another Subcontractor: Subcontractors are limited in their selection of Sub Divisions, ensuring that they cannot choose a Sub Division that has already been assigned to another subcontractor. This prevents conflicts and overlapping responsibilities.

By applying these role-based permissions, our Product Management tool ensures that users have the appropriate access and functionality within the Schedule of Values module, enabling smooth collaboration, accurate approvals, and efficient management of project-related financial data.
