Folder/File Management
The options available to users for folders and files in the Documents module are based on the permissions granted to them when the folder or file is shared. The following options may be available:

- Rename: Users with appropriate permissions can rename folders or files to maintain accurate and relevant naming conventions. By selecting the “Rename” option, users can modify the name of the folder or file as needed.
- Delete: Users with the necessary permissions can delete folders or files that are no longer needed or relevant. The “Delete” option allows users to remove folders or files from the Documents module, ensuring a streamlined and organized document management system.
- Download: Users with permission to access the file can download it to their local systems for offline access or further processing. The “Download” option enables users to retrieve files in their original format for convenient use outside of the module.
- Move: Users with appropriate permissions can move folders or files within the folder hierarchy to maintain a logical and organized structure. The “Move” option allows users to select a new destination for the folder or file, ensuring proper placement and easy access.
- Share: Users with sufficient permissions can share folders or files with other project team members to facilitate collaboration and information exchange. The “Share” option enables users to specify the recipients who should have access to the shared folder or file, promoting efficient teamwork and communication.
- Create RFI (Request for Information): Users with the necessary permissions can create RFIs directly from the Documents module for any questions or clarifications related to specific folders or files. The “Create RFI” option initiates the RFI creation process, allowing users to seek information or provide necessary details within the context of the selected folder or file.
By offering these options for folders and files, our Documents module provides enhanced functionality and flexibility for managing and organizing project documents. Users can perform various actions based on their assigned permissions to ensure efficient document management and seamless collaboration within the project team.
