SOV Creation and Approval Process
Who can create?
General Contractor: As a General Contractor, you have the ability to create a Master SOV encompassing all divisions and tasks within the project.
Subcontractor: Subcontractors can create SOVs specific to the divisions they are working on, providing detailed information and cost breakdowns for their assigned tasks.
Accessing the Schedule of Values Module:
To access the Schedule of Values module, navigate to the designated section within our Product Management tool.
Creating a Schedule of Values:
Click on the “Create SOV” button from the SOV summary table, which is the landing screen for the module.

This will initiate the process of creating a new Schedule of Values.
Step 1: Choosing Divisions, Subdivisions, and Tasks (Including Custom Subdivisions and Tasks)
1. Adding Divisions, Subdivisions, and Tasks:
- Click the “Add Division” button to begin building your SOV.

Select a Division from the provided list or create a custom Division if necessary.
Choose a Subdivision from the available options or create a custom Subdivision as needed.
Select existing tasks from the list or create new tasks to include in your SOV.

Custom Subdivisions and Tasks can be created if the provided options do not meet your requirements.

Step 2: Adding Schedule Value, From Date, and To Date
1. Adding Values to Tasks:
In the SOV table, enter the corresponding Schedule Value ($), From Date, and To Date for each selected task.
The Schedule Value ($), representing the cost associated with each task, is a mandatory field.
From Date and To Date are optional columns and can be filled in based on project requirements.

Step 3: Submission of SOV
1. Submitting the SOV:
Once your SOV is complete and ready for approval, click the “Submit” button.
A summary of the SOV will be displayed, and you can choose the appropriate Approver from the available options.

Additional Options:
Save as Draft:
To save the current progress as a draft, click the “Save as Draft” button.
The draft version will be saved for future editing and will be visible to the creator only.
Cancel: If you wish to discard the current creation process, click the “Cancel” button.

Delete: You can delete a Division, Subdivision, or task that has been added to the SOV table.
Deleting a Division will also remove associated Subdivisions and tasks.
Deleting a Subdivision will remove associated tasks, while the Division and other Subdivisions will remain in the SOV table.
