  • AIA G702 / G703 Validation: Auto-checks that G702 totals reconcile to G703 sums and that no line item bills above its scheduled value minus prior periods.
  • Retainage Enforcement: Retainage percentages are validated against contract terms automatically - release requires explicit project-admin authorization.
  • UCLW Compliance: Contractors are prevented from creating new pay apps until the Unconditional Lien Waiver from the prior period is signed.
  • Auto-Generated CLW: Conditional Lien Waivers are auto-generated from G702 values when a pay app is submitted - no manual paperwork.
  • Signing Role Enforcement: Only team members with Signer permission can initiate signing - and race-condition protection prevents conflicting sessions.
  • SOV Alignment: Pay app line items must match the approved Schedule of Values - no off-schedule billing slips through.
  • Change Order Linkage: Change orders applied after SOV approval must be linked to the affected line item before they can appear on a pay app.
  • Status State Machine: Pay apps move only through the defined flow (Draft to Submitted to Under Review to Approved to Closed) - never out of sequence.
  • Role-Gated Approvals: Status transitions are role-gated - only authorized roles can approve, reject, or close a pay application.
  • Rejection with Feedback: Rejected pay apps return to the contractor with reviewer notes - re-submission re-triggers full compliance validation.
  • Bank Requisition Bundle: Every approved pay app generates a single report bundling G702, G703, lien waivers, photos, and the full audit trail.
  • Always-On Audit History: Every field change, status transition, signer event, and waiver action is logged - defensible to owners, lenders, and municipalities.
